We believecoffee isa daily ritual.
One window,one roaster,one belief.
Roastora began in 2026 in a one-window corner in Pune — a secondhand drum roaster, a hand-painted sign, and a stubborn belief that a coffee shop should feel like a place you belong rather than a place you buy.
The first blend took forty-one attempts. Attempt 38 still circulates among staff as “the near miss.” The shop opened with nine seats, four of which faced the street, and a rule we have kept since day one: nobody is ever rushed out of a chair.
Today there are five corners in five cities, one roastery that still smells of caramel by nine each morning, and the same hand-painted sign. Some things are not supposed to scale.
Sourced well.Roasted slow.Shared daily.
Sourcing
Four smallholder families, visited every season, paid 22% over market. Names on every bag — that is what traceable means to us.
Roasting
A 1984 drum roaster rebuilt twice, small batches, cupped blind every morning. One batch in forty takes an honourable exit.
Community
Corner seats held for regulars, community cups on first Sundays, and a wall of small-biz postcards by the door.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The best cupis the one thatmakes you pause.
